India U19 squad for Asia Cup, full schedule, venues: The BCCI announced India’s U19 squad for ACC Men’s Asia Cup on Friday. 14-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been named in the squad that will be led by Ayush Mhatre. The continental showdown will take place in Dubai from December 12 and will conclude on December 21. Kishan Kumar Singh's participation is subject to fitness clearance.

India are pooled in the same group as Pakistan, besides Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 3. The second group comprise Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Qualifier 2.

Suryavanshi's last outing was at the Men's emerging Asia Cup, where India lost to Bangladesh in the semifinal - a contest decided via Super Over. The southpaw amassed 239 runs from four matches at a strike-rate of 243.88. He had blasted a 42-ball 144 against UAE during the competition, which saw him blast a total of 22 sixes.

However, this time the format changes from 20 to 50 overs and will require even greater temperament.
