England dictated the show on Day 5 of the third Test against India at Lord's. The proceedings kicked-off with India requiring 135 runs to win while England needed six wickets. KL Rahul, who returned unbeaten on 33 at Stumps the previous evening, resumed proceedings with Rishabh Pant from the overnight total of 58/4. Pant showed promise and hit a couple of boundaries before being rocked by Jofra Archer, who castled him for 9.
Shortly after Rahul was trapped LBW for 39 by Ben Stokes and Archer returned to caught-and-bowl Washington Sundar for a duck. Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy, the only recognised batting pair, then added 30 runs for the eighth wicket before Chris Woakes packed the latter for 13 right at the stroke of Lunch.

The dominance allowed England to take a brutal dig at Sundar, who lasted for just four deliveries. The official social media page of England Cricket shared an old post of Archer poking fun at the all-rounder. The post dated July 23, 2015 by Archer read: "How long it takes to get to Washington?"

The good news for India is that Jadeja has hung around in the middle and has found great support from tail-ender Jasprit Bumrah. Together the pair have lasted for over 115 deliveries and reduced the runs required to under 50. Their efforts have given India hope as England continue to build pressure on the visitors.
The outcome of the match will help either side take a crucial lead in the five-match series, which is currently tied at 1-1. India won the previous Test at Edgbaston by a comprehensive 336 runs, which was also their first victory in the red-ball format at the venue. The hosts had rocked India by five wickets in the series opener at Headingley, which the Three Lions won by five wickets.
