Two asteroids, 2024 YB2 and 2024 YE4, are set to make close approaches to Earth on December 30. While their distances qualify as “near misses,” experts assure that there is no danger to our planet. A second asteroid, 2024 YE4, will also approach Earth. This asteroid is slightly smaller, with a diameter of 34 feet. It is racing past Earth at 30,309 miles per hour. Its closest approach is expected at 1,030,000 miles away. NASA emphasises that neither asteroid poses an immediate risk.
