US President Donald Trump has reignited criticism against former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, alleging she benefited from “inside information” in stock market dealings.
The accusation adds fuel to ongoing political scrutiny surrounding the financial activities of Pelosi and her family. Trump’s remarks have amplified long-standing concerns over lawmakers' potential access to non-public information for personal financial gain.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump called Pelosi a “disgusting degenerate" and claimed she and her husband “beat every hedge fund in 2024."
He claimed that “these two very average ‘minds’ beat ALL of the Super Geniuses on Wall Street, thousands of them,” implying that their remarkable success was likely due to insider trading. Trump further questioned, “Is anyone looking into this?”
“Crooked Nancy Pelosi, and her very “interesting" husband, beat ever Hedge Fund in 2024. In other words, these two very average “minds" beat ALL of the Super Geniuses on Wall Street, thousands of them. It’s all INSIDE iNFORMATION! Is anybody looking into this??? She is a disgusting degenerate, who Impeached me twice, on NO GROUNDS, and LOST! How are you feeling now, Nancy???" he posted in his Truthsocial account.
Pelosi has previously rejected accusations of wrongdoing related to her husband’s trades. While critics have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, no official investigations have resulted in charges against her.
In July 2025, President Donald Trump seemed to endorse the idea of a bill that would ban members of Congress, as well as the president and the vice president, from trading stocks while in office.
While talking about the bill, he also mentioned, "Nancy Pelosi became rich by having inside information, she made a fortune with her husband, and I think that's disgraceful," Trump said.
However, a week earlier, Nancy Pelosi rejected Trump's suggestion that she "became rich" through insider trading, branding the allegation "ridiculous" during a CNN appearance.
