Xiaomi’s smart Mi Air Purifier 2

Xiaomi has entered the Indian home segment market with the launch of its first smart Mi Air Purifier 2. Key features include the 360° cylindrical filter which takes in air more efficiently from every direction. Its triple-layer design removes particles larger than 0.3 microns with a high-density EPA filter, while an activated carbon filter removes formaldehyde and bad odour. It connects to the cloud via Wifi, enabled by the Mi Home app. The app transforms the smartphone into a remote to control the air purifier. When in auto mode, the speed of its motor is automatically adjusted according to the air quality — measured using built-in sensors. The app also monitors the filter’s lifespan and sends a reminder for replacement.
