    Toyota to build low cost car for Asia markets: Nikkei

    Toyota Motor Corp and group firm Daihatsu will build a low cost car for Asian and other emerging markets, the Nikkei business daily reported on Wednesday.

    Toyota Motor Corp and group firm Daihatsu will build a low cost car for Asian and other emerging markets, the Nikkei business daily reported on Wednesday.


    The car will be priced around 800,000 yen to 900,000 yen (USD 9,550-USD 10,740), it said.

    Minivehicle specialist Daihatsu will invest around 20 billion yen in a new factory in Indonesia and production is slated to begin as early as 2013, it said.
