U.S. President Donald Trump warned that if all hostages held in Gaza are not returned by Saturday at noon, he would propose canceling the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, allowing the conflict to intensify. He also suggested withholding aid to Jordan and Egypt if they do not accept Palestinian refugees relocated from Gaza. Hamas suspended the release of Israeli hostages, citing violations of the ceasefire by Israel, including delays in returning Palestinians to northern Gaza and targeting them with gunfire and shelling. Israel's defense minister condemned Hamas' move and ordered the military to remain on high alert. Protesters in Tel Aviv called for the safe return of all hostages, while families of hostages urged mediators to keep the deal intact. So far, 16 Israeli hostages have been freed, and Israel has released hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in exchange. Despite growing doubts, the ceasefire remains fragile, with ongoing challenges and limited progress in negotiations.
