Service Tax Amendments: June 2015

The central government has notified that it will bring into effect an increase in the service tax from 12.36% to 14% on the 1st of June, 2015, which would include the education cess. Please find attached and appended below an ERGO from Khaitan & Co. titled ‘Service Tax Amendments Effective 1st June 2015’ which encapsulates the following:

New services within the ambit of service tax
Revised alternate tax rate for specified services
Amendment to CENVAT Credit Rules
