Russian vlogger harassed by man in Delhi's Sarojini Nagar. 'I want to be your friend'

A Russian vlogger recording a video in Delhi’s famous market, Sarojini Nagar, was harassed by a stranger who was insisting on becoming her friend. A video of the same was shared on YouTube by the woman on her channel ‘Koko in India’. While some people apologised for the man’s behaviour, others lauded her for handling the situation so well.

The video that has clocked in 76,000 views till now showed Koko’s interaction with the man. The stranger, who was following Koko while she was making her vlog, asked her if she wanted to be his friend. She politely refused but the man didn’t budge. He instead started asking about the reasons why she doesn’t want his friendship.

The man even said that he was a “big fan” of Koko’s YouTube channel. The woman was conversing with the stranger in Hindi and said, “Mere dost hai kaafi. Abhi mai sharmati hu naye doston ke liye.”

“He doesn’t want an Indian friend,” read the caption of the video on YouTube.

Social media users were furious and expressed their disappointment over the man’s behaviour in the comments section. Some people even demanded action against him.

“Being an Indian, I apologise for that guy's behaviour,” a user wrote. Another user commented, “Sorry for that guy, Koko. You handled that guy very smartly. Welcome to India.”

“Absolute creep! Stay away from such people! These kind of crappy predators could be dangerous for you. I apologise for this horrendous experience as an Indian,” a third user remarked.

A fourth user added, “Take action against this guy.”
