In a discovery that reads like a chapter from ancient mythology, recent findings in the US state of Nevada have reignited the age-old debate about giants who once walked the Earth. Unearthed human remains, some towering up to 10 feet in height, were found in the state, sparking speculation about a forgotten race that may have dominated southwestern America.

The mysterious skeletons, with their jaw-dropping size and distinctive red hair, have raised questions about the existence of a long-lost tribe known as the Si-Te-Cah - a race that allegedly crossed oceans on reed rafts.

The Legend of the Si-Te-Cah

According to Paiute folklore, the Si-Te-Cah, described as cannibalistic red-haired giants, arrived in the Americas from a distant island. Legends passed down through generations speak of their extraordinary strength and cruelty, setting them apart from ordinary humans.

The Si-Te-Cah waged war on neighbouring tribes, spreading terror and destruction. After years of conflict, the tribes united against the giants.

In a climactic confrontation, the last remaining giants sought refuge in Lovelock cave, only to face a fiery end as the tribes sealed the entrance, suffocating and burning them alive. Evidence of extreme burning near the cave entrance was discovered in 1911.

Historical Corroboration

Spanish conquistador from the sixteenth century Pedro Cieza de León recorded an ancient Peruvian tale describing giants arriving by sea on reed rafts. The accounts detail their towering stature, with some individuals having lower limbs as large as an ordinary man.

Further afield, in the Andes between Peru and Bolivia, skeletons with elongated skulls and red hair have been discovered, dating back 3,000 years.
While some scientists attribute the red hair to burial conditions, others view it as evidence supporting the existence of the Si-Te-Cah.

Discoveries

The discovery of the Lovelock Giants was in 1911. Miners digging for bat guano in a Nevada cave stumbled upon strange objects, leading to official excavations in 1912 and 1924.
These excavations yielded thousands of artifacts, including mummies that measured between 8 and 10 feet tall, earning them the moniker "Lovelock Giants."

Among the finds were 15-inch-long sandals showing signs of wear and a boulder engraved with what seems to be a giant handprint. The discoveries, reported by Archaeology World, added tangible evidence to the Paiute legends, fueling speculation about the existence of the Si-Te-Cah.
