Man orders milkshake, realises it’s a cup of urine after drinking it

A Utah man was left infuriated and disgusted after he received a cup of warm urine instead of the milkshake he ordered – a fact he realised only after taking a sip of the offending beverage.

According to ABC News, Caleb Wood ordered a meal and a milkshake from Chick-fil-A last week. The food was delivered to him via American food delivery platform Grubhub.

“When I started eating my meal upon delivery, I put a straw in my cup that was delivered and took a sip,” he told ABC News. “I soon discovered that the cup delivered to me from the Grubhub driver was a warm cup of urine.”

Wood immediately called back the driver who delivered the meal and confronted him. Both the delivery of the food and the confrontation was captured on him home’s CCTV cameras, and the footage shared with ABC News.

“Did you confuse the cups, cause, like, dude — it’s a half full of pee,” Wood asked the driver. “Do you realize this is pee?”

The Utah man claims that the driver admitted to mixing up his order and told him that he had two Styrofoam cups in his car – one with urine and the other with milkshake. He said he accidentally mixed up the cups and handed Wood the wrong one.

The driver also claimed that long work hours left him with little time for bathroom breaks, and so he had taken to relieving himself in disposable cups.

When Wood reached out to Grubhub for a refund, it took the company four days to get back to him. Then, Grubhub did not refund his full order value, which was around $25.

“They refunded like $18, the actual cost of the food,” Wood said. “They didn’t refund the delivery fee or the tip that I gave,” he said.
