An Indigo pilot’s heartwarming announcement for his family who were travelling with him on a flight from Chennai to Coimbatore has won hearts online. The video was shared on Instagram by Captain Pradeep Krishnan who was seen welcoming his mother and grandparents on board.
While making the customary announcement before take-off, Krishnan informed other passengers about his special guests on the flight. “I'm very happy to announce that I have my family travelling with me today,” he said, adding that his “thatha, paati and amma” were sitting in the 29th row. He also mentioned that his grandfather was flying with him for the first time and also encouraged everyone to greet him.
Krishnan’s mother was seen tearing up as he made the wholesome announcement.
His grandfather was seen standing up and graciously greeting everyone by folding his hands. “The biggest flex of mine. Flying your family and friends is every pilot’s dream,” read the caption of the post.
The video went viral with close to a million views and social media users showered their love in the comments section.
“They are so proud of you, Pradeep. Thatha is so cute,” one user wrote. Another user commented, “What a moment. To better times.”
