Sai Krishna, founder of AI-powered writing platform Superblog.ai, recently found himself at the centre of an online debate after sharing his views on what he considers essential qualities in a life partner.
The Indian entrepreneur, who is currently based in the United Kingdom according to his LinkedIn profile, sparked discussion after revealing his “deal breakers” during a meeting with the founder of a matchmaking app.
During the conversation, Krishna was asked to list the non-negotiable qualities he wanted in a potential partner. He replied, he was looking for a woman who is vegetarian, does not drink alcohol, and does not smoke. However, the matchmaker reportedly told him that finding a woman with all three traits was now “almost impossible”.
Taken aback by the comment, Krishna shared the exchange on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). “Met with the founder of a matchmaking app > she asks for deal breakers > vegetarian, non-drinker, non-smoker (of any kind) > says almost impossible to find Seriously? Like seriously?”, the tweet read.

His post quickly went viral, drawing strong and divided reactions from users across the internet. One user suggested that people with such preferences are unlikely to be found on dating platforms at all. “Such people aren't found on matching apps, their rishta is made by their parents in known family,” the user commented.
Krishna responded, “Good for them. Unfortunately, even though I’m having this filters, I prefer to know, court, and then take a decision which is not possible in such AM setups.”
One user wrote,“Absolutely possible. Go out and attend more Indian weddings, in and outside India both." Another shared similar view, “There are a lot of women who meet your criteria. You are not looking in the right direction, probably.”
Some users pointed out that while such individuals may be less visible on dating apps, they are still common in everyday life and traditional social circles. One comment read, “It's totally doable. Tight filters are fine; just don't be shocked when the sample size evaporates.”
Among the many responses, one user shared a personal story that offered a hopeful counterpoint to the matchmaker’s claim. It read, “There is hope! 10 years ago, I didn't make vegetarian or non drinker a deal breaker, but was lucky enough to find someone who was a vegan non smoker or drinker! We have been happily married for 8 years now!”
Krishna replied warmly to the comment, saying, “I’m so happy for you”.
