  • Pakistani creator claims Meta froze over $600,000 in earnings
  • Over $250,000 reportedly missing from his Meta account
  • Creator urges caution, says Meta gave no response or explanation

A Pakistani content creator claims that Meta has frozen over $600,000 in monetisation earnings, with nearly half the balance missing from his account. In a viral video, the creator reveals that almost half the amount disappeared from his dashboard. The creator says more than $250,000 is missing, and there has been no response for support. He urged others to be cautious about their online earnings.

Taking to X, crypto influencer Waqar Zaka posted: “This can happen with you too. Be careful, watch the video till the end, I hope Elon Musk don’t do what Meta is doing with content creators,” crypto influencer Waqar Zaka tweeted.

He claimed, “Facebook Meta has held more than 600,000 USD (over six hundred thousand dollars) of my monetisation earnings for one year. This started right after I posted videos supporting Pakistan during the India-Pakistan war. From that day, an unknown error appeared, and Facebook Meta stopped replying to every support request.”

He continued, “Now after one year when I checked the same payout account, more than half of the money has disappeared and only around 350,000 USD (three hundred and fifty thousand dollars) is showing. Anyone who wants to confirm this can watch the video. Facebook Meta does not reply and gives no explanation and this can happen to anyone. I believe this money is lost, and there is still no response from Meta or any media outlet explaining where the missing amount has gone.”

What did the clip reveal?

The video, posted by him, shows a dashboard similar to the one used by content creators, claiming the company is withholding his payments and that he cannot reach anyone at Meta.

The video quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention from users.

One user wrote, “@Meta, this guy is the biggest scammer in South Asia. He misleads people into getting his monthly subscription and into making an account with his referral so that he can fund his lifestyle. NEVER RETURN HIS SCAM/FRAUD MONEY @META,”

Another X user added, “We discussed this personally. I can vouch that you had $600k+ in your account. Disgusting behaviour by Meta. Zero accountability, zero transparency.”

A third user said, “If the content did not promote violence or hate, freezing $600,000 and reducing it to $300,000 seems unfair. Creators deserve transparency, clear reasons, and a fair appeal process.”
