Hey Elon Musk, can you see the bug Zomato has spotted on Twitter?

Elon Musk acquired Twitter in a $44 billion deal

Zomato is the latest entrant in a long list of Twitter users flagging bugs on the platform to its owner Elon Musk. Zomato’s Twitter ‘bug,’ however, is more of a joke.

It appears that when John Cena started following Zomato’s Twitter account, the food delivery firm couldn’t resist cracking a joke on the wrestler’s catchphrase. The WWE star’s catchphrase -- “You can’t see me” – started as a joke about John Cena being too quick for his opponents to see. In time, it evolved into a well-known meme, with people taking the phrase quite literally and joking that Cena is invisible.

So when Zomato received a notification that John Cena had started following their Twitter account, they saw the opportunity for a joke.

“Hey Elon Musk, spotted a bug. Got this notification but can't see who is now following us,” Zomato tweeted alongside a screenshot of the notification.

John Cena is now one of Zomato’s 1.5 million Twitter followers. The food delivery aggregator is known for its funny, topical tweets.

This isn’t the first time that Zomato has addressed Elon Musk directly on Twitter, the platform which the Tesla billionaire bought in a $44 billion deal last year.

When Musk announced that Twitter users would have to pay for a blue tick, Zomato tried bargaining with the billionaire to get the price reduced.
