A Google employee has offered a glimpse into the tech giant's canteen in Gurgaon sharing details of the food options and different cuisines on offer. Parleen Ranhotra shared mouth-watering clips of the meals served to employees in a reel on Instagram.
Google is known for the impressive range of free food served to employees at its various offices across the world, and Ranhotra's video shows the reputation is well earned.
In the reel titled 'This is what I eat as a Google employee (lunch edition)', Ranhotra shared that they are offered a "plate of the day" every day and "today it's ramen bowl". "I literally scream every time it's (time for) lunch because look at the selection," she said before piling tandoori roti, mutton shammi kebab, salad, into her plate along with a bowl of chicken ramen.
She then topped it up with a tiramisu jar and a dark chocolate gelato for dessert. Ranhotra added that she has no qualms about recording food videos at the canteen in front of her managers.
The video appeared to strike a chord with users and gathered dome hilarious responses.
"Google wants me to be in my best shape that's why they are not hiring me," commented on user. "Asking for a friend. Is it allowed to bring a big tiffin and pack it to take home?" asked another.
Google also offers snack drawers to its employees as was revealed by Bengaluru-based illustrator Alicia Souza who had visited the tech giant's office in the city last year. She shared pictures from the office which showed that each of the drawers were filled with a different snack –- almond brittle, chocolates, chewing gum, several kinds of biscuits, cup noodles, different kinds of chips and more.
