Established by the Parliament in 1949, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or ICAI is the second-largest professional body of chartered accountants in the world, and has spent decades regulating the profession in the country. It is known for the diligence with which it vets its members, and the high technical and ethical standards it helps establish and maintain.

ICAI’s 40 Under 40 awards for CA business leaders brings all that expertise to the fore as it strives to recognise and felicitate the exemplary performances of a new generation of young and inspiring leaders from around the country.

If you are a young professional who believes that they have made an outstanding contribution to the field of chartered accountancy, or if you know of someone who has, now is the time to register for time is indeed short! Registrations close on the 31st of January 2023.

Be sure to submit your nominations before the deadline expires for a chance to get you, and your work, the recognition it deserves!

Shortlisted candidates will be forwarded to a jury panel comprising some of India’s most successful leaders and CAs, who will then choose the 40 winners and their projects.

These jury members are as follows:

CA. Vishakha RM - MD & CEO, IndiaFirst Life Insurance Co Ltd: She has been recognised by Forbes, Fortune India, and Business Today as one of the most powerful and capable businesswomen in India.

CA. Akhil Gupta - VC, Bharti Enterprises: A graduate of Harvard Business School and a published author, Akhil Gupta has served at Bharti Enterprises for well over two decades.

CA. Motilal Oswal - MD & CEO, Motilal Oswal Financial Services: An extremely successful businessman and CA, Motilal Oswal founded Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd., and has served on the governing board of the BSE, IMC, and various key financial institutions.

CA. Ramesh D. Chandak - Former MD & CEO, KEC International: Over the course of his 40-year career, he has helped some of India’s largest companies shape their strategies and improve profitability across the board, and can boast of proven expertise when it comes to pursuing opportunities in international markets.

CA. Ritesh Tiwari - Executive Director - Finance, HUL & Chief Financial Officer, South Asia:  Known for his agility and digital savviness, Ritesh Tiwari’s decades-long, globe-spanning career with HUL has given him a deep and unique insight into business opportunities in developing and emerging markets.

Mr KV Chowdary - Former Central Vigilance Commissioner & Director, RIL: An Indian Revenue Service Officer, KV Chowdary has served the country well as Chairman of both the CBDT and CVC at various points in his career.  He is currently appointed to the board of directors of Reliance India Limited.
