A Delhi man recently got the shock of his life when he found a six-feet long python in his car's engine. The incident took place in Chittaranjan Park area, situated in the southern part of the national capital.

The car's owner immediately contacted "Wildlife SOS", a nongovernmental organisation in the city who sent a rescue operation team to the location. The team took more than 30 minutes to remove the python, which was then safety handed over to forest authorities.

"A massive python found an unexpected refuge in a car in South Delhi. The compassionate car owner reached out to Wildlife SOS for urgent assistance and a well-trained team swiftly arrived at the scene, working in coordination with the police and forest officials," Wildlife SOS wrote on Monday.

This is not the first recent incident in which a reptile has been found and rescued from an unusual location.

A man recently spotted an Indian rock python and rescued the reptile with his bare hands, which left many on social media impressed.

A snake was recently found dangling from the window of a house in Thane area of Maharashtra. Two men were caught on camera trying to disentangle the reptile and eventually succeeded, in doing so.
