Bryan Johnson’s anti-ageing routine is among the most extreme in the world.

American entrepreneur Bryan Johnson, best known for his anti-ageing experiment ‘Project Blueprint’, has made an addition to his strict diet—Indian garam masala. The biohacker, who earlier made headlines for walking out of Nikhil Kamath’s podcast, citing concerns over India’s pollution, has now incorporated the aromatic spice blend into his meals.

Johnson, who has invested millions in efforts to reverse ageing, follows an extremely disciplined lifestyle that includes a plant-based diet, rigorous exercise, medical testing, and experimental treatments. His diet is meticulously planned, with every ingredient chosen based on scientific data and its potential longevity benefits.

In an X (formerly Twitter) post shared yesterday, Johnson revealed his meal plan for the next few days, which includes:

Blueprint Superfood Smoothie
Butternut Squash Soup with Roasted Apples and Carrots
Black Bean and Mushroom Bowl with Chickpea Rice

Notably, his butternut squash soup recipe featured a pinch of garam masala, a staple Indian spice mix known for its warming properties and depth of flavour.

Despite his newfound appreciation for Indian spices, Johnson had previously taken extreme measures to avoid consuming local food while visiting Mumbai and Bengaluru in December 2024.

The entrepreneur, who follows a rigid dietary plan, revealed that he brought six days’ worth of meals to India.

"A lot of people ask me what I do about food when I travel. The first rule is this: food is guilty until proven innocent. This is why I’ve brought with me to India every calorie I’ll eat for six days," he wrote on X at the time.

His self-curated travel diet included:

Longevity mixes
Macadamia nut bars
Lentils
Pea soup
Matcha tea

Despite his strict approach, Johnson has previously praised Indian food for its nutritional value and health benefits.

"Power is moving away from football and fast food and towards health, science, and Indian food," he wrote in December 2024.

Johnson’s anti-ageing routine is among the most extreme in the world. He follows a strictly measured plant-based diet, practices intermittent fasting, and consumes all his meals within a 6-8 hour window.

His ambitious Project Blueprint includes undergoing dozens of medical tests daily, taking over 100 supplements, and even infusing himself with the plasma of his teenage son in an attempt to slow down ageing.
