A Noida man was left stunned after a bill for an Uber auto ride booked by him for Rs 62, came up to Rs 7.66 crore on arrival at location.

Deepak Tenguriya had booked an Uber auto ride on Friday for Rs 62, but received the shock of his life when he arrived at his location and found the bill to have risen exponentially to be valued in crores.

An X (formerly Twitter) user named Ashish Mishra shared a video on the social media platform in which the customer could be seen showing his phone that suggested the gigantic amount without having any waiting charges added to the bill.

Tenguriya could be heard saying in the video that he had never counted those many zeroes in one go and in addition to waiting charges, denied that any GST had also been included in the final bill.

After the video went viral, Uber India Support replied to the post and apologised for the trouble caused and requested for some time to look into the issue.

This, however, is not the first instance in which a customer has received a huge bill after booking an Uber ride.

In 2022, a UK man received a bill of Rs 32 lakh for a 15-minute ride after a glitch had led to the destination being accidentally picked up as Australia.
