In 48 hours, Maharashtra will see rains: Skymet

The rain-bearing clouds are all set to hit Mumbai within the next 48 hours and it predicts at least 3 to 4 days of consistent rainfall over the coastal city including interior regions of hte state like Marathwada and Latur.

It's the middle of June and the monsoon has not kept its date with Maharashtra and other parts of india, which are still parched dry, after two consecutive years of drought.

But private weather forecaster Skymet has some good news. The rain-bearing clouds are all set to hit Mumbai within the next 48 hours and it predicts at least 3 to 4 days of consistent rainfall over the coastal city including interior regions of hte state, like Marathwada and Latur. The website reads: "The cyclonic circulation that is expected to develop over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal will start affecting coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by the morning of June 18. Thereafter, by the afternoon of June 19 good rain activity will commence over Marathwada, Vidarbha, and most parts of Madhya Maharashtra." Watch video for more...
