Leader of Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Ajay Singh alleged here today that the law and order situation in the state has collapsed.

"The law and order situation in the state has totally collapsed and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has lost grip over the government as well as administration," Singh said. Citing examples in support of his allegations, he provided a copy of a CD containing 'evidences' of Health Minister Dr Narottam Mishra's alleged relationship with police officials having a criminal mindset.

"While the Chief Minister on the one hand directs police to act like a 'Singham', on the other his own ministers were patronising people with criminal background," he alleged. Pointing out to the recent heist in a museum belonging to erstwhile rulers of Rewa, he said that even a former Minister Pushpraj Singh had written a letter to the Chief Minister demanding deployment of security personnel to guard the museum, but no action was taken.

The Leader of Opposition said that despite government claiming that there was an increase in the registration of crimes in the state, they were silent on the prosecution side.
