A few weeks ago, author, entrepreneur, and content creator Ankur Warikoo took to social media to share that he had shed 10 kg in the past 12 months.
On Monday, Warikoo shared a thread on X (formerly Twitter), detailing his journey towards losing weight and shared a "3T model", which focused on track, train and transform and admitted that he continued to eat foods like chole bhature during the weight loss journey.
"Fat-free at 43! How I shed only 10kgs in a year to get to this shredded look. The 3T Model 1. Track. 2. Train. 3. Transform," Warikoo wrote on the social media platform on Monday.

Warikoo said that the first step towards becoming fit was to track the calories and emphasised that the only way to lose fat/weight in the body was to get to a calorie deficit.
He also revealed details of his usual diet plan, that comprised of whey protein, nuts, paneer, eggs, fruits, pulses, vegetables, and curd, among other foods and also said that he had his first meal at 9 am and did not eat anything after 6:30 pm.
My usual diet (eggetarian)930am: Whey Protein 1 scoop + Creatine + 1 walnut + 4 almonds + 4 cashew nuts + 5-6 raisins + supplements 11am: 200gm raw paneer, or tofu or tempeh. Or 3 egg whites (rarely - don't like eggs). Or daal chila. 1pm: Fruit pic.twitter.com/GnG0MasIhp — Ankur Warikoo (@warikoo) April 29, 2024
4pm: 2 roti (emmer wheat/jowar/soya bean) + sabzi + daal + low fat yogurt630pm: 1 scoop protein with curd Of course, I had days where I had chole bhature and sweets - those were not rare, but quite common. The goal was to get to 7500 deficit every ~2 weeks. pic.twitter.com/v69dQSCoay — Ankur Warikoo (@warikoo) April 29, 2024
Warikoo then stressed on the need to train one's body and said that he lifted weights for muscle building as it helped boost the metabolic rate.
2/ TrainWith the calorie deficit, you begin to lose fat. Which can make you skinny. You need to build muscles. Muscles increase your metabolic rate (you burn calories faster) and of course look good, amongst several other benefits. I lifted weights to build muscles. pic.twitter.com/YuDTvYVTs4 — Ankur Warikoo (@warikoo) April 29, 2024
In the third and final part of the model, Warikoo revealed that he would fill a sheet with details of his daily weight and would send its photos to his trainer to show the progress made by him.
3/ TransformI filled up a sheet with my daily weight and weekly body measurements.https://t.co/4EwKeTYFqw Sent pics of my body to my trainer, to show and document progress. Key was to be consistent. pic.twitter.com/t6C7HbgEf9 — Ankur Warikoo (@warikoo) April 29, 2024
Warikoo's thread saw a lot of responses, many of whom said they were inspired by his weight loss journey.
"This is really inspiring, Ankur. Persistence, consistency, and delayed gratification always pay!" one user wrote.
"I read the whole thread and now I feel like it's high time that I should take my health seriously. This is surely inspiring to the extent that I'm 20 years younger than you and still hasn't worked on my health improvements and feeling a bit of shame. Thanks for the reality check," another user wrote.
This is not the first instance where Warikoo has spoken about weight loss and the steps taken by him towards looking slimmer and fitter.
In June 2023, he shared that he had lost 8 kg in 16 weeks after consuming specific supplements, but was criticised by a doctor who offered medical explanation about some of the side-effects the supplements carried.
