LTIMindtree on March 18 announced that it is appointing Chetana Patnaik as its new chief human resource officer (CHRO) from April 1, 2024, as present CHRO Manoj Shikarkhane is moving to a new role within the company.
The IT services company is in the midst of leadership churn. This development comes a couple of weeks after the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Vinit Teredesai resigned, following the appointment of Vipul Chandra in the role.
In his new role, Shikarkhane will be supporting the CEO’s office in various strategic organizational initiatives, according to a regulatory filing.
Prior to being named LTIMindtree’s CHRO, Patnaik was Head - Human Resources & CSR for the Transportation Infrastructure business, an independent company of L&T.
“In this role, she takes care of the entire gamut of HR function for a workforce of 6000+, which includes creating a future ready talent pipeline, strengthening the bottom of the pyramid, focused learning, and development interventions across levels along with creating a culture of inclusion and learning through emphasis on organization development and diversity initiatives,” the company said in the filing.
It added, “She was the HR representative during acquisition of Mindtree Limited by L&T and subsequently supported in building the initial leadership team. She had also played an active role in the HR integration of LTI and Mindtree.”
She joined L&T Group in 2012 as the Head of Strategic Leadership Talent Acquisition as part of A.M. Naik’s & S.N. Subrahmanyan’s Office in Mumbai. She had previously worked with GVK Group, Reliance Infrastructure and Gati and has over 27 years of experience in various human resource functions.
According to media reports, even the company’s CEO Debashis Chatterjee is set to retire in 2025, and Chief Operating Officer Nachiket Deshpande and President Sudhir Chaturvedi are the front-runners for taking over the role.
