January 2026 is set to be a busy month for smartphone launches, with multiple brands preparing to introduce new devices across price segments. From performance-focused models to battery-centric smartphones, companies such as Realme, Poco, OnePlus, Oppo and Honor are lining up launches for India and global markets. Here is a look at the key smartphones expected to debut this month and what they are likely to offer.

Realme 16 Pro series launch in India

Realme is set to introduce the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ in India in early January. The Realme 16 Pro 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max chipset and feature an AMOLED display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate. A large 7,000mAh battery and an upgraded cooling system are also expected to be part of the package.

The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is tipped to move to a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and could focus heavily on camera hardware. Reports suggest a 200-megapixel primary sensor along with a periscope telephoto lens. Both models are expected to be sold via Flipkart and Realme’s official website.

OnePlus Turbo 6 series debut

OnePlus is expected to kick off January with the launch of the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V in China. The standard Turbo 6 is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and feature a high-refresh-rate display. One of the main highlights is expected to be a large 9,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

The Turbo 6V variant is likely to target a slightly lower segment, with an OLED panel and a Snapdragon 7-series processor. While an India launch has not been confirmed, past trends suggest these devices could arrive in select markets later in the year.

Poco M8 series on the way

Poco is also preparing the Poco M8 series for launch. The lineup is expected to include the Poco M8 5G and Poco M8 Pro 5G. The standard model may focus on a slim design and a 50-megapixel camera, while the Pro variant is tipped to offer up to 12GB RAM, 512GB storage and fast charging support. A large battery is expected to be a key selling point for the series.

Oppo and Honor add more options

Oppo is expected to introduce the Reno 15 series in India by mid-January, featuring multiple models with AMOLED displays and high IP ratings. Meanwhile, Honor is set to unveil the Honor Power 2 in China, focusing on a massive battery and long usage times.

With these launches, January 2026 is shaping up to offer a wide range of choices for smartphone buyers, spanning performance, camera upgrades and battery-focused designs.
