Xiaomi has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G, positioning it in the mid-range segment. The new model brings hardware upgrades across display, performance and battery, while also reflecting a slight price revision compared to previous Note series devices.
The Redmi Note 15 5G is aimed at users looking for a balanced smartphone with modern specifications, 5G support and a familiar Redmi design language.
Redmi Note 15 5G price in India and variants
The Redmi Note 15 5G starts at Rs 19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Xiaomi has also introduced an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant priced at Rs 21,999.
The smartphone will be available for purchase starting January 9 through online platforms and offline retail stores across India. Xiaomi has not announced long-term price revisions, but introductory offers are expected during the initial sale period.
Discounts and launch offers
While Xiaomi has not detailed all bank-specific deals at launch, buyers can expect standard bank card discounts and exchange offers, depending on the platform. These offers may vary across online marketplaces and authorised retail partners.
Exchange benefits could further reduce the effective price for customers upgrading from older smartphones. Buyers are advised to check final pricing during checkout, as offers may be time-limited.
Display, performance and software
The Redmi Note 15 5G features a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness. The display supports smooth scrolling and outdoor visibility.
Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB RAM. The device runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, offering Xiaomi’s latest software experience out of the box.
Camera and battery details
On the camera front, the Redmi Note 15 5G comes with a 108MP primary rear camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, it features a 20MP front camera.
The smartphone packs a 5,520mAh battery and ships with a 45W charger inside the box, supporting fast charging for daily use.
Should you consider buying it?
With its AMOLED display, Snapdragon chipset, large battery and competitive pricing, the Redmi Note 15 5G targets users seeking a reliable mid-range 5G smartphone without moving into premium pricing territory.
