Apple recently announced that the next generation of iPhones won’t be arriving as scheduled in September. Now, known leaker Jon Prosser has suggested that Apple will hold its iPhone 12 event in mid-October.
Prosser uploaded specific dates of the upcoming Apple events through a series of tweets.
New, adjusted Apple dates!Apple Watch & iPad - Via press release - Week 37 w/c Sep 7 iPhone 12 event - Week 42 w/c Oct 12 iPhone 12 devices - Preorders week 42 w/c Oct 12 - Shipping week 43 w/c Oct 19 iPhone 12 Pro devices - Preorder and shipping in Nov (no exact date yet) — Jon Prosser (@jon_prosser) August 12, 2020
According to Prosser, Apple is expected to hold an event to unveil the iPhone 12 on October 13, while pre-orders for the new low-cost iPhone 12 will commence on October 16 with delivery starting on October 23. As for the iPhone 12 Pro models, they won’t be available until an unspecified date in November.
However, Prosser also suggests that Apple’s upcoming hardware launches will commence on September 7. He claims that the Apple Watch Series 6 and the new iPad will be revealed through a press release on Apple’s official website.
It is worth noting that Prosser has been inaccurate about Apple leaks in the past. However, Apple has already confirmed that the next iPhone won’t launch as scheduled and Prosser has got it right on many occasions. But still, we recommend processing this information with a pinch of salt.
