Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Himanshu Roy showed up before the committee in a five-star hotel where he and his team submitted evidence gathered, particularly against BCCI chief N Srinivasan's son-in-law Meiyappan, to the panel, police sources said.
The court also asked all of them to not leave the country and report to the Crime Branch every alternate day. The lawyers of Meiyappan and Vindoo requested the court to grant bail to their clients arguing that their custodial interrogation was not required.
Meiyappan, armed with privileged information as CSK's Team Principal, is alleged to have placed "huge bets" on IPL matches after fixing the game, including those involving the Chennai franchise.
