On May 15, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) revoked Celebi's security clearance, citing "national security" concerns, days after Turkey backed Pakistan and condemned India's strikes on terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The security clearance was initially granted to the company in November 2022.

Murali Ramachandran, President of India & Southeast Asia at Celebi Aviation, said that in the next couple of years, he expects many international carriers to start or expand both passenger and freight operations in India, with the likes of Lion Air, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, and American Airlines expected to increase their presence.
A final decision on whether to scrap the privatisation process entirely will be taken by the end of this month since August 31 is the deadline for bidders to submit RFQs.
