Ashneer Grover is the co-founder and Managing Director (MD) of BharatPe. He co-founded the digital payments platform in 2018 along with Shashvat Nakrani. The company serves more than 75 lakh merchants across 150 cities. Since its launch, the fintech platform has already facilitated the disbursement of loans totaling more than Rs 3,000 crore to its merchants. The company facilitates small merchants to accept payments through Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for free, by using BharatPe QR codes. BharatPe’s investors include Dragoneer Investment Group, Tiger Global, Dragoneer Investment Group, Steadfast Capital, Coatue Management, Ribbit Capital, and few others. Grover was also one of the judges of the recently-concluded business reality television series Shark Tank India - an Indian adaptation of a US reality show with the same name. Before co-founding BharatPe in October 2018, he headed the new business at PC Jeweller Ltd for a year. Earlier, he was the chief financial officer (CFO) at online grocery platform Grofers (now Blinkit) for two-and-a-half years. Ashneer Grover has apologised for the delay in the launch of his new venture – fantasy cricket app CrickPe – which was supposed to coincide with the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Ashneer Grover announced the death of his father, Ashok Grover, via an Instagram post this morning.
Ashneer Grover's comments have sparked a heated debate on social media, with many people questioning the nature of his comments and their appropriateness.
CrickPe allows players above 18 years of age to create a virtual team of cricket players and enter paid contests to earn cash prizes based on their performance in real-life games, and will levy a 10 percent platform fee of the total funds received for any public or private contest.
The move comes two months after Bhavik Koladiya filed a case against Grover, demanding that the former managing director give back the shares he had allegedly not paid for

Former co-founder and MD of BharatPe, suggests salary reduction as an alternative to mass firings. Easier said than done, says many. Many others say taking gig workers on a project-by-project basis by paying them higher would be a better option.
Anupam Mittal said that as "sharks" they have to be themselves and that it is "most important to keep the authenticity and innocence alive".

Ashneer Grover said that although he would keep asking Madhuri Jain out for dates, initially she was very apprehensive of him.
