In a recent podcast, 22-year-old Bengaluru-based YouTuber Ishan Sharma, a dropout from BITS Goa, shared a revelation with a panel of distinguished business figures. Sharma claimed to have earned Rs 35 lakh in the previous month, a sum he surprisingly described as problematic. This declaration left the panel, which included Ashneer Grover, Asish Mohapatra, Sarthak Ahuja, and Sanjeev Bikhchandani, in a state of disbelief and amusement.
Sharma elaborated on his perspective, explaining that earning Rs 35 lakh per month feels limiting as it prevents him from pursuing larger business ventures. This statement prompted a hilarious reaction from Ashneer Grover. "Tu yahan baithna chahiye, humko puchna chahiye" (You should sit at our places, and we should be questioning you), Grover quipped.

Grover went on to share that he earned nothing when he was 22, contrasting sharply with Sharma's current earnings. Asish Mohapatra revealed his monthly income was Rs 35,000 at the same age, while Sarthak Ahuja and Sanjeev Bikhchandani disclosed their respective earnings of Rs 5,000 and Rs 1,500 per month.
The podcast, which has since gone viral, featured Sharma interviewing the business luminaries. The episode was titled "LEAKED - How to Start a Business in 2024 (What ACTUALLY WORKS)" and included Grover, founder of BharatPe and Third Unicorn, Mohapatra, Co-founder and CEO of OfBusiness and Co-founder of Oxyzo Financial Services, Ahuja, Director at Niamh Ventures and Finance Content Creator, and Bikhchandani, founder of Info Edge, the company behind Naukri.com.
