The Australian captain set a new record on December 19 in Dubai when Sunrisers Hyderabad paid Rs 20.50 crore to get him. His record, however, was short-lived as the Kolkata Knight Riders purchased Mitch Starc for Rs 24.75 crore, using more than half of their auction funds. (Image: PTI)

Starc is now the most-paid player in IPL history. Given his 24.75 crore sale price, he will get enough money to produce around 336 deliveries throughout 14 matches in the 2024 season, assuming he bowls his allotted four overs in each league stage match. Starc will therefore receive a whopping Rs 7,36,607 for each delivery he bowls in the upcoming IPL season. If he plays in 16 games, which is only possible if KKR advances to the playoffs and the finals, the value drops to INR 6.44 lakh.

With this lucrative agreement, Cummins may earn Rs. 6.1 Lakh for every ball he bowls in every IPL 2024 game he plays. Cummins has an IPL record of 42 games, 45 wickets, and an average of 30.16 with an economy of 8.54. He has also played for the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. In addition, he has the joint second-fastest fifty in IPL history, having reached the mark in IPL 2022 against the Mumbai Indians in just 14 balls.
