The Reliance Foundation hosted a one-of-a-kind Olympic Day for children, complete with a special funfair as part of the IOC's Let's Move India project, which promotes volunteerism and sports. The event was held on June 22 at the Reliance Corporate Park (RCP) in Mumbai.
The event focused on providing children from disadvantaged neighbourhoods with a day of fun, sports, and educational activities based on Olympic values like as excellence, respect, and friendship.
The major highlight of the event was a meet-and-greet with six-time Olympian Shiva Keshavan. He talked about his experiences and emphasised the importance of core Olympic ideals like excellence, respect, and friendship with the children. Keshavan also took part in a unique "move and groove" session with the kids.

Speaking about the initiative, Keshavan said, “Reliance Foundation has always taken the lead in supporting the growth of the Olympic movement in India. Let's Move is a great way to help children understand the benefits of being physically active and how movement is medicine. The kids were extremely enthusiastic, and their passion and energy were infectious. They had a lot of questions and will learn a lot from this experience. As an Olympian, I hold the Olympic values very close to my heart, and they are values that will serve the kids well in their lives too. I hope some of these kids are inspired to play sports actively and maybe even pursue a career in it.”

More than 200 Reliance Ecosystem employees from various verticals volunteered for the effort, monitoring sports stations such as basketball, football shootouts, walking races, and fitness sessions, as well as sketching and art activities.
Reliance Foundation's Let's Move India programme aims to promote inclusivity, development, and the value of physical activity to 10,000 children from disadvantaged communities across different cities in India in the coming weeks. This programme is handled by 500 Reliance employees who work to promote a healthier lifestyle and nurture positive growth in these children.
