Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil what officials describe as the world’s tallest statue of Shree Ram -- a 77-feet bronze structure -- at the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Jeevottam Mutt in South Goa on Friday.
According to the mutt’s central committee chairperson Shrinivas Dempo, “The PM will arrive at the venue at 3.45 pm,” with a dedicated helipad created inside the premises for his visit.
Dempo noted that before addressing a public gathering, the prime minister will stop at the temple located within the mutt complex.
He added, “The 77-foot statue of Shree Ram would be unveiled at the hands of the prime minister.”

The 77-foot sculpture has been crafted by Ram Sutar, the artist known for creating the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, Public Works Department minister Digambar Kamat said.
Kamat also pointed out that the mutt grounds, long regarded as a spiritual site, have recently been revamped and given a contemporary appearance.

Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union minister Shripad Naik and members of the state cabinet are scheduled to attend the ceremony.
The event forms part of a larger series of commemorations underway at the mutt. Dempo said various programmes are being hosted from November 27 to December 7 to observe 550 years of the mutt’s tradition.
He mentioned that the current premises, located in Partagal village in Canacona, were built 370 years ago.
Crowds of 7,000 to 10,000 people are expected daily during the celebrations, with several cultural and religious activities planned throughout the period, he said.
Ahead of his of visit to Udupi, PM Modi said that he is "honoured" to attend the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana programme at Sri Krishna Matha.
PM Modi remarked that the programme brings together people from different sections of society to recite the Gita.
