Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to actively take part in the 'Your Money, Your Right' campaign, an initiative launched in October to help people recover long-forgotten financial assets-ranging from bank deposits to insurance payouts, mutual fund units and dividends.

Highlighting the scale of unclaimed wealth across sectors, the Prime Minister noted on LinkedIn that thousands of crores remain untouched in the financial system, representing savings that rightfully belong to Indian families. He stressed the need for individuals to check whether they or their relatives have funds lying unclaimed.

To streamline the process of tracing and recovering these amounts, multiple regulators have rolled out dedicated digital platforms, each designed to centralise information and make verification easier. Modi also mentioned that facilitation camps have been conducted in hundreds of districts, helping many families receive their dues.

Below are the key portals created for reclaiming unclaimed financial assets:

• Reserve Bank of India (RBI): UDGAM Portal for unclaimed bank deposits and balances

https://udgam.rbi.org.in/unclaimed-deposits/

• Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI): Bima Bharosa Portal for unclaimed insurance proceeds

https://bimabharosa.irdai.gov.in/

• Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI): MITRA Portal for unclaimed mutual fund amounts

https://app.mfcentral.com/

• Ministry of Corporate Affairs: IEPFA Portal for unpaid dividends and unclaimed shares

https://www.iepf.gov.in/

Modi encouraged citizens to visit these platforms without delay and recover what belongs to them, emphasising that empowering people to reclaim their financial rights strengthens transparency and inclusion across the country.
