Indian Railways currently operates 54 Vande Bharat Express trains on various routes connecting several parts of the country

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flags off three Vande Bharat trains between Meerut and Lucknow, Madurai and Bengaluru, and Chennai and Nagercoil, via video conferencing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off on Saturday three new Vande Bharat trains connecting Meerut with Lucknow, Madurai with Bengaluru and Chennai with Nagercoil. With the introduction of these three new train services, the number of Vande Bharat Express trains opearing in various parts of India have gone upto 54.

The Meerut city-Lucknow Vande Bharat will help passengers save around one hour in comparison to the current fastest train between the two cities. Similarly, the Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat and the Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat trains will cover the journey saving more than two hours and around 1.30 hours respectively.

Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, except on Tuesdays.  Train No-22490 Vande Bharat will leave Meerut City at 6.35 am and will reach Moradabad at 8.35 am for a five-minute stoppage. The next stoppage will be at Bareilly where it will reach at 9.56 am and will have two minutes stoppage time. The train will finally reach Lucknow NR station at 01.45 pm. The fare from Meerut to Lucknow will be Rs 1,355 in AC Chair Car which includes a catering charge of Rs 364. The fare in the Exec. Chair Car is Rs 2,415 which includes a catering charge of Rs 419.

Train No-22489 Vande Bharat will leave Lucknow NR station at 2.45 pm and reach Bareilly at 6.02 pm and will have two minutes stoppage time. The next halt will be at Moradabad at 7.32 pm where the train will stop for five minutes and finally reach Meerut City at 10.00 pm. The fare from Lucknow to Meerut will be Rs 1,3oo in AC Chair Car which includes a catering charge of Rs 308.he fare in the Exec. Chair Car is Rs 2,365 which includes catering charge of Rs 369.

Vande Bharat Express Vande Bharat Express

Chennai Central-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, except Wednesdays.  Train No-20627 Vande Bharat will leave from Chennai at 5 am and will have stop in Tambaram at 5.23 am for two minutes, Villupuram Jn at 6.52 am for three minutes, Tiruchchirapali at 8.55 am for five minutes, Dindigul at 9.53 am for two minutes, Madurai Jn at 10.38 for two minutes, Kovilpatti at 11.35 am for two minutes, Tirunelveli at 12.30 pm for two minutes and finally reaching Nagecoil Jn at 1.50 pm. The fare will be Rs 1760 in AC Chair Car which includes Rs 364 as catering charge and in Executive Class the fare will Rs 3,240 which includes Rs 419 as catering charge.

Train No-20628 Vande Bharat will leave Nagercoil Jn at 2.20 pm will reach Tirunelveli at 3.18 pm, Kovilpatti at 3.58,Madurai Jn at 5.03 pm, Dindigul at 5.48 pm, Tiruchchirapali at 6.45 pm,Villupuram Jn at 8.53 pm, Tambaram at 10.28 pm and finally Chennai Egmore at 11.00 pm. The fare will be Rs 1,735 in AC Chair Car which includes Rs 338 as catering charge and in Executive Class the fare will Rs 3,220 which includes Rs 399 as catering charge.

Madurai- Bengaluru Cantonment Vande Bharat Express
This Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, except on Tuesdays. Train No-20671 Vande Bharat will leave from Madurai Jn at 5.15 am and will stop in Dindigul Jn at 5.59 am for two minutes, Tiruchchirapali at 6.50 am for five minutes, Karur at 8.08 am for two minutes, Namakkal at 8.32 am for two minutes, Salem Jn at 09.15 for five minutes, Krishnarajpuram at 12.50 am for two minutes, and finally reaching at Bengaluru Cant at 1 pm. The fare will be Rs 1575 in AC Chair Car which includes Rs 364 as catering charge and in Executive Class the fare will Rs 2,865 which includes Rs 419 as catering charge.

Train No-20672 Vande Bharat will leave Bengaluru Cant at 1.30 pm. It will stop in Krishnarajpuram for two minutes, Salem Jn at 04.50 for five minutes, Namakkal at 05.38 for two minutes, Karur at 05.58 for two minutes, Tiruchchirapali at 07.20 for five minutes, Dindigul Jn at 8.28 pm for two minutes and finally reaching Madurai Jn at 9.45 pm. The fare will be Rs 1,740 in AC Chair Car which includes Rs 530 as catering charge and in Executive Class the fare will Rs 3,060 which includes Rs 613 as catering charge.

The improved version of Vande Bharat trains presently running over the Indian Railway network with enhanced safety features, faster acceleration, better ride index and passenger amenities, such as Automatic Plug Doors, Reclining Ergonomic Seats, Comfortable Seating with revolving seats in executive class, Mobile charging sockets for every seat, etc. and is fitted with KAVACH system.
