Ahead of crucial assembly elections next year, BJP on Monday announced a series of high-profile appointments, naming Union minister Piyush Goyal and Baijayan Panda as the election incharge of Tamil Nadu and Assam respectively.
“Piyush Goyal appointed as BJP Election Incharge for the forthcoming elections in Tamil Nadu. Arjun Ram Meghwal and Murlidhar Mohol to be the Co-Incharge,” the party’s national general secretary Arun Singh announced.
Meanwhile, in Assam, Panda will be assisted by Sunil Kumar Sharma and Darshana Ben Jardosh.
Elections in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, West Bengal and Kerala are slated to take place between March and May next year.
