In a major development, the United States on Tuesday expelled Anmol Bishnoi, a primary accused in the Baba Siddique murder conspiracy, paving the way for his return to India. The younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol is a wanted accused in several high-profile criminal cases in the country.

The US’ Department of Homeland Security in an email to Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, confirmed the deportation. "This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025," the mail read, according to a report by NDTV.

The report said that Bishnoi is expected to be in India by November 19.

Who is Anmol Bishnoi?

-Anmol Bishnoi is the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is accused of running a global criminal syndicate despite being in prison.

-He is wanted by Indian authorities for multiple acts of violence. His charges span several major cases -- from the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, to the 2024 firing outside Salman Khan's residence, and the assassination of politician Baba Siddique in October 2024.

-It is alleged that Anmol Bishnoi’s role in the Sidhu Moosewala murder involved supplying the men with both the necessary weapons and logistical support.

-Eighteen cases have been filed against him and he was added to the National Investigation Agency (NIA)'s most-wanted list last year, with a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest.

What Baba Siddique's son said on Anmol Bishnoi's expulsion by US authorities?

Baba Siddique's son Zeeshan, in an interaction with The Indian Express, said he received an email from US officials on Tuesday. “My e-mail has been registered with the US authorities since I am from the victim’s family, and they would update me about any developments in the case. This morning, I received an email saying that Bishnoi has been removed from the US. I do not know what that means or where he has gone,” Zeeshan said.

Baba Siddique (66) was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Mumbai’s Neelamnagar area on October 12, 2024, by three assailants.
