"We have finalised the terms,” said Vance.

Areas like Delhi Cantt, Dhaula Kuan, Lajpat Nagar, Mahipalpur, Vasant Kunj, and Rajouri Garden were also heavily congested. Several commuters expressed outrage, with one saying they were stranded near the Supreme Court while trying to get medical help for their family. Others reported missing flights and being stuck in traffic for nearly an hour.

Delhi Traffic Police had issued advisories urging people to avoid certain routes, including IP Marg, ITO crossing, Vikas Marg, and others, between 9 am–12 pm and 6 pm–9 pm. They also emphasized the need to use alternative routes and park only in designated areas to minimize disruption.

US Vice President visited an emporium in Delhi's Janpath. "It was a wonderful visit and he enjoyed a lot. We were quite enthusiastic and we also enjoyed a lot. He saw our showroom and also purchased some items," CCIE General Manager Meera Somani, said, while speaking about US Vice President JD Vance's visit to Central Cottage Industries Emporium in Delhi.

"This is a handloom handicraft emporium. They liked everything. They were short of time, but they spent almost 40-45 minutes. They bought tea, honey, papier-mâché items, wooden items and pottery. And they really appreciated the goods. They were very humble and soft-spoken... She bought whatever the kids said." Showroom Manager Meetu Wazirani said.

"After the welcome, they started with the Charanarvind of Lord Swaminarayan. Moving ahead, they visited Bharat Upvan. They liked the garden very much. Going further, they visited Gajendra Peeth. They were very overwhelmed by the carvings. Then they went upstairs and after having a darshan of the idol of Lord Swaminarayan in the sanctum sanctorum, they prayed for world peace," she said.

During his visit to India, US Vice President JD Vance and PM Modi are expected to review progress made on the bilateral agenda outlined in February.
