Police officers from Jamtara and Mewat were brought in by the SVP National Police Academy (SVPNPA) to train IPS trainees on managing cybercrime cases.
The academy has laid special focus on coaching IPS trainees on this front in the wake of the rising cyber fraud cases in the country.

Jamtara district in Jharkhand and the Mewat region, spanning Haryana and Rajasthan, are notorious for offering tutorials where hundreds of young people learn phishing techniques. The crime has even spread out from Jamtara and Mewat areas to other parts of north India including Mathura, Gopalganj, Dumka and Kulti.
The National Police Academy is going to hold the Passing Out Parade (Dikshant Parade) for the 76th batch of IPS trainees on September 20. The ceremony will mark the culmination of training for 207 trainees, including 58 women officers.
The IPS trainees underwent training, according to a report in The Times of India, in internal security challenges, threat from drones, cyber crime and cyber security, drug trafficking, cryptocurrency, cyber frauds and financial frauds, darknet, AI and social media, and implementation of new criminal laws.
