The Indian armed forces on Monday displayed pictures of what appeared to be a wreckage of a Pakistani jet that was likely shot down during escalation between the two neighbours.
In a video that was played for the media before the joint briefing of the armed forces, the wreckage of a jet can be seen with the caption "The Pakistani Mirage ... Shattered."
Later, the Army posted the same 1.26 minute video with the title "Destroy the Enemy in the Sky".
The wreckage of the jet along with the mention of "Mirage" in the caption led to speculation that India shot down a Pakistani Mirage jet. However, it was not directly confirmed by the armed forces.
On Sunday, Air Marshal AK Bharat had said during a joint media briefing of the armed forces that India shot down some high-tech fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) during the four-day intense military conflict.

However, he did not specify the details of the jets shot down by India, only saying that they were "high-tech fighters".
The latest video released by the armed forces has fueled speculation that India may have shot down a Pakistani Mirage—a fighter jet developed by French manufacturer Dassault Aviation. However, it remains unclear whether the wreckage shown in the footage actually belongs to a Mirage.
The video also features footage of India's air defence system, which successfully intercepted Pakistani drones and missiles during the conflict.
During the briefing on Sunday, when asked for the details of the jets shot down by India, AK Bharti said: "As I said, their planes were prevented from coming inside our border. So, we don't have wreckage with us, but definitely, we have downed a few Pakistani planes ... I have the numbers and we are getting into technical details to establish it."
