At least four people were killed and three others injured after three high-rise residential towers caught fire in Hong Kong's Tai Po district on Wednesday, The New York Times reported, citing the city's public broadcaster, Radio Television Hong Kong.

The court said the origin of funds, not the nature of the later activity, determines liability, strengthening the ED’s powers to target ventures financed through illegal money.

While addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Preamble of the Constitution on Constitution Day, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said, "If we insult the Constitution of India, then it is an insult to Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar... From the very first day, the Constitution of India has given the right to vote to every adult voter if he is a citizen of India, irrespective of his caste, region, religion or his method of worship..."

President Droupadi Murmu released the translated versions of the Indian Constitution in nine languages, including Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also joined the event, which honours the adoption of the Indian Constitution. Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi reached the venue along with several Union ministers and MPs. The programme pays tribute to the Constitution’s framers and emphasises the commitment to democratic values. The nation is observing Samvidhan Divas to highlight justice, equality and liberty enshrined in the Constitution.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the Constitution gives utmost importance to human dignity, equality, and liberty. In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote, “On Constitution Day, we pay tribute to the framers of our Constitution. Their vision and foresight continue to motivate us in our pursuit of building a Viksit Bharat.”

He added that while the Constitution empowers Indians with rights, it also reminds them of their duties as citizens. “These duties are the foundation of a strong democracy. Let us reiterate our commitment to strengthening Constitutional values through our actions,” he said.
