Google CEO Sundar Pichai discussed 'incredible opportunities' AI will bring to India with prime minister Narendra Modi on February 11 on the sidelines of AI Action Summit in Paris.
Pichai further said how they (Google and India) can work closely together on the country's digital transformation.
In a post on X, Pichai wrote, " Delighted to meet with PM Narendra Modi today while in Paris for the AI Action Summit. We discussed the incredible opportunities AI will bring to India and ways we can work closely together on India's digital transformation."
The last meeting between Modi and Pichai was in September 2024 in New York. The Prime minister was in the US to attend the Quad Leaders' Summit hosted by President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware.
Earlier in the day, addressing the 14th India-France CEOs Forum in Paris, PM Modi encouraged French businesses to invest in India, calling it the “right time” to capitalise on the country’s growth. Addressing an audience of French and Indian business leaders, he underscored India’s position as the world’s fastest-growing major economy with a stable political environment and predictable policy framework.
PM Modi was in Paris to co-chair the AI Action Summit.
The week-long summit concluded with a high-level segment attended by global leaders, policymakers, and industry experts, highlighting the growing collaboration between India and France in technology and innovation.
