After a brief respite, the Chinese media resumed its war of words with an article threatening that its army could enter the disputed Kashmir region as a response to the Indian intervention in the Doklam region.
The state controlled Global Times used by the Chinese state as its mouthpiece came up with an open challenge to India. In the opinion piece written by Long Xingchun published on Sunday, the media compared the situation in Doklam with that of Kashmir. In a threatening tone, the article points that the Chinese soldiers will have the right to interfere on behalf of the Pakistanis and if needed even cross the border .The threat can be seen as an action aimed at pressuring the Indian government to retreat from the disputed region.
