    COP28 is being held from November 30 to December 12 in UAE

    This year’s two-week United Nations climate summit from November 30 to December 12 takes place in Dubai. It marks the 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) , where parties denote the signatory countries.

    Moves to mitigate its effects have been relatively recent but indications of the climate crisis, brought on mainly by the burning of fossil fuels have been known for much longer. Here are the milestones to the global climate discussions:
