Actor Amitabh Bachchan has tested negative on his latest COVID-19 test, he announced on Twitter on August 2. He added that he has been discharged from Nanavati hospital.

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan's latest COVID-19 test results have come back positive. He took to Twitter saying, "My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him. I, Unfortunately due to some comorbidities remain Covid-19 positive and remain in hospital. "

The veteran actor had been admitted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier in July. His son Abhishek also tested positive later the same evening. The entire Bachchan clan, including veteran actor Jaya Bachchan, actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya, underwent swab test for COVID-19.
