Shares of UCO Bank surged over 2 percent intraday after it entered into a tie up with Future Generali India Insurance.
Through the tie-up, Future Generali will offer its health & personal accident, motor, travel, home and rural insurance products across 3050 branches of UCO Bank.
Currently, bancassurance accounts for 5 percent of Future Generali’s total business. Recently, the company tied-up with Bank of Maharashtra. Additionally, it has tie-ups with over 100 banks across the country.
At 14:42 hrs UCO Bank was quoting at Rs 36.10, up Rs 0.45, or 1.26 percent on the BSE. It touched an intraday high of Rs 36.50 and an intraday low of Rs 35.45.
