Financial services major Wells Fargo on Tuesday announced the appointment of Uday Odedra as Managing Director and Head of Wells Fargo in India and the Philippines. He will report to the Head of Global Operations, David Owen.
Odedra joins Wells Fargo from UBS AG and brings broad experience in the global financial services sector, including international business leadership, technology, and data strategy, a statement by Wells Fargo said.
With more than 25 years of experience at UBS, he served in a variety of leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India, and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Asia. Odedra earned his bachelor’s degree in computing information systems from Birmingham City University in the UK.

Wells Fargo India & Philippines is primarily an extension of the technology, operations, and corporate support teams of Wells Fargo. It engages in application development and support, testing, other technology functions, international operations, knowledge support, and middle and back-end banking process solutions for a wide spectrum of Wells Fargo’s needs.
The entity currently has offices in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Manila.
