Prefer Power Grid, says Gaurang Shah

Gaurang Shah of Geojit Financial Services told CNBC-TV18, "First of all it is very important to identify sector and stocks in case if you are buying anything from a short to medium term point of view. If you bought something like a PFC or anything associated with power, project finance, power generation, power transmission, and distribution you need to have a longest time horizon. On PFC we don’t have a specific coverage but extend your time horizon to may be about 18-24 months and switch to Power Grid that is where we have a positive coverage."

"Our sense is that all the policies that the government has laid out in terms of 2020-2022 power 24 by 7, I think definitely you are likely to see some kind of a package coming out from the government for the power generation, transmission and distribution companies. So, prudent to make a switch to Power Grid and change a time horizon to 18-24 months," he added.
