Positive on metals, sector looks attractive at current levels: IIFL

In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Abhimanyu Sofat, VP-Research at IIFL shared his readings and outlook on specific stocks and sectors.

He is positive on metals. Sector looks attractive at current levels, said Sofat.

He prefers non-ferrous stocks over steel stocks. Sofat expects steel stocks to outperform going ahead.

According to him, Equitas Holdings look decent at current valuations among non-banking financial companies (NBFC) space.

He continues to be sanguine on Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) and expects gross refining margins to rise.

He sees further opportunity in consumption space and is positive on Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Emami.

Sofat continues to be bullish on Arvind. The company is a good bet in branded apparel space, he said.
